昆虫生态与害虫控制研究中心(Research Center for Insect Ecology and Pest Control)

  在原广东省昆虫研究所白蚁研究室的基础上,2014年建立昆虫社会生物学与蚁害控制研究中心,2019年组建昆虫生态与害虫控制研究中心。本研究中心面向广东省对生态安全的战略需求,瞄准昆虫生态学科发展的前沿,在白蚁安全防控与昆虫多样性两个方向开展工作。白蚁安全防控研究,以台湾乳白蚁与黑翅土白蚁为主要研究对象,研究社会性昆虫的群体发育、社会性免疫、木质纤维素降解生理及其分子调控机理,探索解决蚁害有效监测、安全防控与资源化管理的关键技术与方法。昆虫多样性研究,立足于粤港澳大湾区及南岭粤北生态区独特的昆虫资源,开展昆虫分类、系统学与演化以及昆虫多样性与昆虫群落的生态响应等研究,为国家和广东的生物安全、生物多样性保护等战略需求提供支撑。

  The research center was established in 2014 on the basis of Termite Research Group of Guangdong Entomological Institute, and renamed as Research Center for Insect Ecology and Pest Control in 2019. Considering the strategic requirement of ecological security in Guangdong province, aiming at the forefront of insect ecology, the research center concentrates on green termite controls and insect biodiversity. For termite prevention and control, using Odontotermes formosanus (Shiraki) and Coptotermes formosanus Shiraki as model organisms, we investigate their colony development, social immunity, lignocellulose degradation physiology, and the molecular mechanisms therein. Our long-term goal is to develop the environmentally-friendly key technologies and methods for preventing and controlling termite infestations and utilization of termite resources. For insect diversity, based on the insect resources in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay area and Guangdong Nanling mountains, our current studies include insect classification, phylogeny, and the ecological response of insect diversity and insect community on ecological environment, so as to provide support for biological safety and ecological security of national and Guangdong's strategic needs.

  研究方向或领域

  1、白蚁社会生物学:白蚁群体发育、表型可塑性、品级分化、行为与化学生态、消化生理及免疫机制等。Sociobiology of Termites: termite phenotypic plasticity, caste differentiation, behavioral and chemical ecology, digestive physiology and immune mechanism.

  2、白蚁及城市害虫控制:白蚁环保型饵剂、生物防治、人居环境入侵性害虫的监测。Termite and urban pest management: Termite environmentally-friendly bait, biocontrol, and invasive pest investigation in urban areas.

  3、昆虫多样性:昆虫分类、系统发育、物种多样性、昆虫群落、指示生物

Insect diversity: Insect taxonomy and phylogeny, biodiversiy, insect community, bioindicator.
